Our transportation design team has experience working with a wide variety of terrains and subsurface characteristics. This experience is enhanced by our in-house geotechnical engineering division capable of providing on-site drilling services for soil sampling by our in-house construction materials testing laboratory and associated geotechnical reports. MCE is experienced in both asphalt and concrete pavement designs, and we help our clients to select the best pavement material for their individual project needs.
In addition to design for streets and roadways, MCE also has experience in design of pedestrian and vehicular bridges including approach and installation designs for pre-engineered bridge structures. The McClelland transportation engineering team designs pedestrian bridges to meet standards set forth by the Americans with Disabilities Act. Vehicular bridge projects undertaken by MCE are designed in accordance with American Association of State Highway and Transportation Official criteria.
